  • Selling my M3 after 17 years of ownership

All, i am selling the M3. Not really clear on value so entertaining offers.
here is a white up link to pictures below....
    Partial Restoration:
    1988 BMW E30 /// M3 913-660-2460
Mileage 180,503K odometer and is mostly the chassis. Only 7,975 on rebuilt Motor!
This is a very nice example of the Iconic E30 M3 with a build date of Nov 87. This one in particular was not to be sold but I went another direction in life. I have driven it roughly 200ish miles in 2 years. This car has never broken down due to the “overkill” Maintenance I have done. There are ZERO door dings and interior is in great shape with new leather on front seats. All VIN Tags are on the car. There is some normal road rash on front of hood and the wing needs refinished but paint is in good shape. This is probably one of the cleanest E30///M3’s out there and it has won People’s Choice in 2 car shows. The attached car fax will show one rear end collision which was a very mild rear end at a gas station and rear bumper cover was refinished. This car will turn on a dime and will boast better handling with the AST 5300 series suspension than any E30M3 on the market! (Maybe even any e30M3) It’s also running 17X9 D Force wheels that are near pristine and Hancook RS3’s that need replaced. Although this car has a few miles on it almost everything has been replaced except the rear diff (which has been changed often and works just fine). The transmission has roughly 110K miles the miles and shifts fine. The original trans goes with the car (Core for rebuild valued at $300ish). It also has the original block and heads. This car has just gone through extensive maintenance and pre-sale inspection (over $3000 worth). Mechanically this car is 10 out of 10 and even the AC works! This car is in better shape than most of the E30M3s that are more expensive and effectively better shape than a car with 50K miles (due to replacing almost everything. The car has also gone through an extensive professional detail and it ready for immediate use.
    Car History:
Purchased Car in January of 1999 in Springfield, Mo. I am the 3rd owner – car had approx. 122K miles
The previous owner stated that the car had been kept inside and claims he had it since about 12k miles and bought it from a guy who also kept it inside.
It’s believed that this car has been kept inside its whole life. Its never gone anywhere near 3000 miles on an oil change since I’ve had it and since we rebuilt the motor in 2007 it’s been more like 1500 miles with fully synthetic oils.
1999 break slave unit replaced directly after purchase and well as Diff, Trans Fluid and Oil change. (Will discontinue the dates of oil and diff changes but it was once per year trans and Diff and less than 3k motor)
2000 replaced break booster with OE and changed Diff fluid. Added Evo Air Box and K&N filter, SS break lines and Wheel studs.
2001 the car was painted. New Alt bracket. Flushed and changed Break fluids.
2001 installed Dinan Chip (now believed to be conforti) and Suspension Tech front and rear sway bars 21/19mm and full Ground Control Suspension (GC not on the car now). Front Sparco Strut bar installed.
2003 Rear Wheel bearings and new Starter and new OE radiator.
2004 VSR center section ($800+ and a Evo 3 header was added $1300). There was also was a driveshaft replacement. Original Equipment ellipsoid headlights replaced as were the fog lights. Clear front marker lights added.
2005 replaced ECU with what’s believed to be a conforti chip.
Late 2006 rebuilt the half shafts. Odyssey battery and “Wiles” battery box added.
2007 Rebuilt the motor (172,300 Miles). Replacement parts include but not limited to ALL bearings (Mains and Rods),. Timing chain tensioner replacement, Cam Chain and all gears, Oil Pump, Valves, Guides. Also installed a rear Strut bar.
2008 (August) New Front wheel bearings. All calipers rebuilt. Replaced all rotors and front control arms.
2009 Brand New AST 5300 (Double Adjustable) with Hypercoil springs – Ended up with 550/700 springs and is very streetable.
2009 all rear sub frame and trailing arm bushings replaced with derlin from Bimmerworld. New AC lines added ad well as a new windshield wiper fluid reservoir and Radiator Reservoir.
2010 New Clutch and Pressure plate, new injectors.
2014 (Fall) New Odyssey Battery and UUC exhaust cat back.
2015 Installed Evo 2 cam and light flywheel (this is OE in some European cars)
2016 (Spring) New OE Radiator and condenser, New Re upholstered front seats, Gas Pedal, Brake and Clutch petal rubber, Shifter boot and knob, Motor and Transmission mounts. Oil, Trans and Diff oils changed, Break fluid flushed, New front inner fender wells, New battery cover. Full inspection by BMW Master Tech (Import Specialist in Springfield Mo) with a presale inspection. The car is currently in the Kansas City Metro.
    $49,999 or Make Offer!
