I figured it wouldn't hurt to post ahead of time to see if there was interest in purchasing it at the time of completion. Hopefully my photo set of the resto is helpful too, I like to put my stuff out there with nothing to hide and it's ALL on display in a restoration like this
    Thanks.

the m3 will be completed in a month+/- and you are hoping to sell your finished car before hand

in other words, you will finish the m3 at $81K, once finished it will be shipped to buyer.

I have no personal affiliation with Ken's listing other than actually seeing the vehicle in person and previously being a prospective buyer. The paint job is done so above and beyond a "normal" respray or any paint job that I've personally seen. I can attest to the quality of the glass-out repaint, the paint looks factory even down to the sparkles within the paint. This resto is probably one of the few that I've seen that stays true to stock specifications and did not cut any corners. If you'd like to reach out to me privately to discuss what I saw and more of MY opinion, feel free. I have been talking to Ken about this car since about January with every intention of buying, but unfortunately I decided to go another route with respect to more of a driver/project quality. This car will make someone very, very happy.

    GLWS!!

    1988 BMW M3 DS/Black

I’ve spent the last couple years restoring my ’88 M3.

I bought it locally here in CT in the fall of 2021 and brought it in to my friends shop that winter for a touch up on the sunroof.

That led to a decision to go all out with a full glass-out restoration of the car…

It is a DS car from the factory, and he spent months disassembling, prepping, painting and reassembling over the last 1.5 years. The end product is a very very nice

    professional paint job.

When I bought it, it had some modifications done that I wasn’t much of a fan of, so, the decision to get it back to OEM was made, and that was

the focus of the entire build.

It retains it’s Supersprint exhaust. Aftermarket head unit. And modified front bumper. Period Sparco strut brace.

Well north of $25K has been spent on this E30 over the past year to get it to this point.

Some highlights, among a very long list of other new parts:

-Completely redone interior with new front/rear leather, new straps on the driver side.

-Brand new BMW OEM windshield and gasket.

-Brand new BBS 16” OEM wheels with brand new Dunlop tires

    -New rotors, pads and sensors

-All brand new Bilstein suspension front and rear

-Refreshed front strut housings up front (bought here on S14)(the current housings are being pulled off, as they were cut and welded for the BC suspension that was on this car prior).

    -New front/rear wheel bearings

    -New lollipop/control arm bushings

    -New exhaust hangers

    -Spark plugs and newer rail

    -Garagistic knee panel

    -H&R Springs (Sport)

    -Bav Motorsports re-done Cluster

-New OEM shift knob and surround, e-brake handle leather

    -New Interstate battery…

Some of the above items are being finished as we speak over the next couple of weeks +.

The A/C is capped, but comes with the compressor and a new OEM bracket.

During the restoration process, I documented everything down to the door cards and inner fenders coming out with photos along the way.

Every VIN matches except for the drivers door (replaced sometime in the past, I do not have documentation of it). Since this was a repaint, I did the proper procedure with BMW of Ridgefield to order the new VIN sticker and door jamb sticker.

I have a lot of receipts back into the 1990’s with a well documented binder in sequential order in page protectors.

The owners manual, books, tool kit and window sticker.

A full pro set of photos will be completed when it’s had its final buff/detail, but as it sits, I’m about 5% away from completing the car.

    My E30 M3 is $81,000.00

Please keep in mind, it will not be ‘finished’ to my goal of completion for at least another month (as mentioned above) BUT, if you’re looking for a complete DS that has had care, attention, and detail in it’s refurbishment, then please touch base with me, and we can discuss the upcoming completion/timeframe and consideration of new ownership.

Bank wire transfer is the only accepted payment method. No crypto, no checks, no credit cards.

I'm in Southbury CT, and welcome in person inspections etc. (it's currently at my friends home shop).
