  • FS:1989 Lachsilber E30 M3

After much consideration I've decided recently to part with my '89 M3 (Dec '88 mfg).

It's a great driver, set up for street with alot of nice upgrades and parts replaced over the past few years to make it very nice. Pulled from C/G after a few days because of BS'ers and deadbeat offers. It's not a perfect ///3 and the price reflects (so please don't beat this post up).

    1989 Lachsillber Gray - Salmon Silver metallic (203) : Re-spray - Good condition
    Vin#WBSAK0308K2198627
Interior Gray - Silver leather (0292) : Good condition, some tears in front/pass seats, a few threads in rear top broken.
    Motor - Stock 2.3L w/JC Chip, 171,600
Suspension: HR Race Springs/Bilstein FRT/Koni Top Mount Adj RR
    Wheels: 3-pc ACS Type 1 17x8.5
    Tires: Yokohama Parada 205/45/15 (50%)

    Other notable items:
Hella Euro-spec ellipsoid headlights, EVOIII carbon fiber front splitter with Sport Evolution grille assembly, Euro-spec tow hook covers and Evolution II brake ducts, DTM-style carbon fiber mirrors, EVOIII carbon fiber rear spoiler and decklid, Optima Battery.

    Minor issues up front:
Ignition lock cylinder out of commission, odometer stopped at 171K (within last 3 months), AC inop(resistor needs replacing). Both lock cyl & resistor at shop(Performance Technic, Pleasanton, CA) ready to be replaced, just haven't had time to the get car to Bay Area since last service.

Feel free to contact Performance Technic as they are very familiar with the car.

What's not perfect about your M3 that reflects the price besides the minor issues up front you stated? Do you know how many miles you've driven since the ODO stopped working?

            BEAUTIFUL car!!

            GLWS!

              Sorry to see this Paul.

I can vouch for Paul's car.. A very nice example with desirable mods. He takes good care of all his autos. Some one will snag a great deal here.

Thanks Jeremy! Hoping we would have the M's together once before you left town. Hope all is well in NC.

                Thanks ARMORRIG,

Just the stated issues mentioned. There's so many Unbelievably Beautiful ///3's on this board, I cannot compare to is the only reason I make that statement. I did not notice the odometer until after getting back from tune/valve adj in July. Checked fuses and wiring w/o success. My last receipt showing reading was 168K last Dec. and I estimate around 8K/yr so I would safely say there is 175K actual. Compression check on 10/26 was 210/210/200/210. I have copy of PPI upon request.

                        Thanks Kyldare,

Speaking of wheels, had a few inquiries priced w/o ACS.
$15.5K w/o ACS if anyone interested, I have a set of stockers but tires don't have much more than a few thousand miles left on them.

I would sure like to keep this car in the S14 community.

Forgot i had this: (Note this was before I did the tune/valve-adj/fluids etc 7/11)
