  • Not Mine: 77k Alpine/Cardinal in Atlanta

My Dad sent me a link to this one the other day to see what I thought - http://carstenmotors.com/view.php?id=48

The photos look familiar for some reason but I've seen so many listings in the past 6 months I could be imagining things. We're trying to figure out if this is a BS listing or a nice car for what seems like a very reasonable price. He has contacted them and is awaiting a reply to inspect the car in person.

The shop is located about an hour from him but whoever he talked with last week said the car is in Georgia, an hour or two from me. So either way we should know Tuesday as to scam or legit listing. Here's hoping it's a real listing, Dad wants a Alpine White to park next to his Diamond Metallic.

This is a scam. Has been going on for a couple months now on ebay and auto-trader. The scumbags finally put a website together, amazing that they have been let play their scamming game for so long. Isn't there any authority left in this country?? Just read the "how to buy" on their website. It's even funny how naive they expect their victims to be.

Read that right after posting, amazing. So what can actually be done to shut down crap like this? BBB or is there another route that would be better?

State Attorneys general usually handle consumer issues. Might contact yours or the State that the address is in and give them all the info, with threads etc.

I have had good luck dealing with the WA state Attorney Generals office a couple of times.

Am I the only one who's been searching high and low for an E30 M3 in hard to find "Arctic White"? These guys are comical.

Wow, reading thru that website it is amazing how well sorted the scam is. I wonder if anyone actually falls for this kind of stuff especially with the niche vehicles the are "selling".
