I’m sort of a new be here. Can someone tell me the big advantage to this set up as opposed to stock. It seems very popular. How much more power?

Ultimately it doesn't give much top end power, but it gives a massive kick in the butt in part throttle lower rev range. Also changes the throttle response tremendously. Especially if you put in a lightweight flywheel. Best bang for the buck mods by far are: (1) getting rid of the AFM, lightweight fly, diff gear change.
