Attention to details will take you a long way in life, give it a try.

It is a lot easier to be less antagonistic when those who do not know refuse to investigate on their own.

I will try to be more patient, but this topic has been discussed so many times since the mid to late 90s that it gets a bit old at times, search is a powerful thing.

Well, let's review how this thread got to where it is:

OP asks: "knows where I can buy one" Grp A header that is
    http://www.s14.net/forums/showpost.p...94&postcount=1

I, in polite and generous manner, provide the answer to his question: McAdams Autosport
    http://www.s14.net/forums/showpost.p...17&postcount=3

Then ///CRISS proceeds to challenge my recommendation with a rude response:
    http://www.s14.net/forums/showpost.p...05&postcount=5

I then provided the evidence to support my recommendation:
    http://www.s14.net/forums/showpost.p...41&postcount=7

wld tony then begins the series of posts with in an attempt to provide additional information, but unfortunately he is uninformed with respect to all the facts:
    http://www.s14.net/forums/showpost.p...70&postcount=8

    http://www.s14.net/forums/showpost.p...4&postcount=10

mike K. then graciously comes in to help wld tony with the pieces of the puzzle that he does not appreciate or if he did, those that he failed to fill in for the OP:
    http://www.s14.net/forums/showpost.p...5&postcount=20

wld tony then finally understanding what had happened, reguritated facts from the page I previously linked to:
    http://www.s14.net/forums/showpost.p...3&postcount=21

Then you need to jump in on the party, day late and a dollar short.

Sorry if you think I have an elitest attitude, but check the facts, I provided all the information necessary in a polite manner, but was challenged by those with less knowledge. If they got caught with their shorts down, shame on them.

All the information you were surprised by, i.e. ALL the facts, was already supplied by me in post #11 and repeated by another poster again in post #17.

    Have a good one.

I guess someone has to keep the facts in view. Knowledge is a wonderful thing, invest in it.

Technically, Tony & Mike is correct in that the two headers are diff, as in they have diff part #, diff construction & diff price. You are right in that there is no functional difference between the two. Lets try to check the elitist attitude at the door. It's good to know ALL the facts, so I appreciated their reply.

Man that is an awesome deal! I would be totally willing to trade my EVOIII header for a Group A Rallye header, but I don't want to go through the PITA process of removing the headers!!

Like Hamann said, sorry if I kept the hate going. That was not my intention. Best

You have so adamantly pointed out that the only difference between the two is the part number, the price and one piece vs. two piece. The first is of no moment with respect to anything, the second, well if you want to spend at least $1000.00 more than you have to go ahead, I am certain you have heard the saying that a fool and his money are easily separated. It would seem to apply in this type of situation. The third, well, just one extra point of failure. If a two piece header is important to you because it is shiny, see comments regarding point 2 above. In sum, your comments have provided nothing substantive to the advantage of the OP. Let's try to help him out rather than spend his money foolishly.

Thanks for trying, we will see you next time.

    Mike,
Do you not see the prices next to the part numbers, NOT once did i say go buy the more expensive one, all i did was say the Evo2/320is header would do just fine. Thats what was post i my first post.
I will keep trying and do hope to see you next time.

    Headers...

"whats the diference from a stock usa model and a evo II header"

EII has larger primaries & secondaries compared to the US stock.

    "1].2.3 Stock pn-11621308805-$1891.62
    2].50/50mm/EVO2/320is pn-11621309348-$1057.41
    3].2.3l Grp.A pn- 11621311877-$2555.64
    4].2.5l EVO3 pn-11621315872-2555.64

2 and 3 are the same size."

Header #4 does not directly bolt to a stock or aftermarket U.S. center section. The bolt pattern of the flange is not the same. Drilling or a new flange is required (see Gustave or VAC for them).

I think the real question is what is the application of the header. Headers #2 & #3 are sized for almost all modified 2.5L motors, & before you flame me please keep reading. The 50/50 size headers generally provided the best overall performance on the dyno. Header #4 usually provides a reduced TQ figure as compared to the 50/50 headers. Unless you have built a DM or full DTM motor, the 50/50 headers usually give the best results according to back to back dyno tests.

And please use the term GRP A lightly, every header at some point was used in Grp N, Grp A, Grp A Rally, & DTM. So every header could be considered Grp A.

    Thanks,
    Mike K.
