just curious, as I am not at all familiar with eBay; why not just list you're reserve as the starting bid if you aren't willing to go below that?A friend will come bail you out of jail, but a TRUE friend will be sitting next to you in the jail cell saying, "Dude, that was focking awesome!"

I was trying to build interest in the car. Seeing it posted high initially may have deterred potential bidders. Also, by starting the price low, you are able to build bid inertia.
I really was just using Ebay as an advertising avenue. I had nearly 8000 hits in one week. Nearly twice what most of the other listing would have had at best.
Thanks for the interest,
JP

the car is truly wonderful and after the cats at motorsport connections, which you owe your life to, fixed the minor plug wire issue we drove 1100 event free miles. that is if you call 100mph through the night event free!

I'm so glad you are happy with the car. It was REALLY hard watching it go. Sans the fire belching, the transaction was wonderful. It's great that the car went to someone so excited about it. Watch out for the mod bug!!
And if anyone is curious, I believe Dave is planning on daily driving the car. Even though I seem to have spent ALL of my free time for the past 8 months detailing the car. . . . . . :borg:
