  • Any Interest in a Rally Light Bar?

Just looking to see if there's an interest in a rally light bar for the M3? I was thinking about possibly having my buddy at Rally Innovations build one for my car. It would be a bolt-on piece; no drilling or cutting required; just like all of their products. Pricing will be in the $225-$260 range depending on how many we order.

Let me know and I'll check with him about this. I always thought it would be cool to have a bolt on rally light setup for the car w/o having to drill and cut into the bumper.

This would attach to the front bumper? Light bar with 2 or 4 lights?

Something that probably uses the bolts/nuts that mounts the bumper would be nice.
Good for some spirited night driving through the back roads.

was just thinking of this the other day, I have four extra Hella 500's sitting in the garage.

where would they mount, front grill area or lower on the bumper?

              Hi guys,

I spoke w/ my buddy today and he said that he can design it one of 2 ways depending on our preference. He can build one where the bar/tabs are hidden like the ones on the mini cooper and Evo X (see www.rallyinnovations.com for the images in his header) or one that is more pronounced like the ones for the
impreza below. He can make mounting tabs for a 2 or 4 light setup. Usually it's $10 more for the 4 tab ones. Let me know what you guys think.

I have a set of Hella 500s in a box. They were for my 2.5RS but I've been thinking of this for a while.......

I'd prefer the hidden mounting bar/tabs.

I'm more inclined on this design as well. Anybody else? I'm going to see him this week and will discuss further about everything including light placement.

The hidden mounting bar/tab configuration looks very clean. I prefer it as well.

update: I'm going to try and get some measurements this week for the prototype hidden mounting bar/tab.

I got the car measured this weekend and here's the initial mock-up of the bars. If you are looking at it from the top down, the bars will hug the curve of the front bumper. They have a similar setup for the bar on their Evo X here: http://www.rallyinnovations.com/main...mitsubishi.jpg and with the way that it's designed, you can't even tell that there's a bar there.

Just need to work out what to do w/ the front tow hook since the lower light configuration will block it. Same goes w/ the license plate holder. You can also go crazy and get an additional tab to run the triangular 3 light setup like some of the old school rally cars. Let me know what you guys think.
