Evo III Engine block 2.5L (Rmfd engine block with pistons) 1 11111316977 $2,501.27 $2,501.27 $500 core

    from bmwmercedesparts.com

Seems a lot less expensive than it "should" be, no?

I seem to recall Markus saying that 2.5 blocks are available, they come with pistons but without crank or rods.

For a high end S14 it is better to use a prepared late E3 Block, or the late DTM/Gr.A Block ( new >4500€)

What is the exact bore dimension?

I have measured the bores with some old verniers and they all come to 95.8mm. The block is with the engine specialist at the moment as I have asked him to check it over plus double check my measurements etc.

That's an interesting block Dan. Someone has prepared it to a high spec at some point. Nobody stress relieves the crank case like that for fun.

Not a clue I'm afraid, it's as I bought it.

started a topic FS: 2.5 Block with caps - UK

FS: 2.5 Block with caps - UK

I'm going through my hoard and I'll never use this, although it would make a rather expensive coffee table with a sheet of glass fitted. Someone on here may want it.

Left over from a load of other S14 parts I bought. This is a proper 2.5 block, not a bored 2.3. Bores are not oval etc.

I've passed it onto a close friend who works for a reputable engine reconditioner to check it over for piece of mind.

It's had a repair, detailed in the last photo's.

I don't know what it's worth, to comply with the rules 800 but PM me and we'll go from there.

    Located not far from Cambridge.
