Last race in Palanga /Lithuania/

Hi all,
long time, but i have few pics from last race in Palanga.
BMW Club of Lithuania with two cars in 1003 km endurance race.

BMW compact (#33) powered with S14B20 - my engine, from last seasson! Not very well this time, only 5-th in class (A2000) and 21 overall. Some problems with trainings and qualification so i must skip this race :(
p.s. and problems with engine, but after 10 hours it runs again. We did impossible - almost without spare parts.

This white BMW E36 coupe (#77) powered with Alpina B3 engine - 260bhp - they did very well all race and they win 1'st place in A3000 class (sport cars with engines from 2000 - 3000 cc.). 5'th place overall. They car broke down only 5 laps left, but no one was close enought to overtake position from them.

Can you explain this?

5 laps left and broken drive shaft (or cardan, o SWIVEL JOINT - i don't know how it's called correctly). Our guys trying to change it, but unfortunately we have different spare drive shaft.

That's a cheap version of a 2 post lift. You put tire into the opposite side window to prevent the car from rolling. I've done that few times before.

I've been to Palanga a while back as well.

Everybody seems to have been in Palanga some time ago! I was there too, two years ago. Great pier, great food and girls... (don't tell my wife I have eyes too...)
