  • Just got some new wheels!

    Here they are... Now should I go 4x4 style since my car isn't lowered yet?:p

                Yes, same (M System) wheels. I am currently looking for two of these in 17x9, since the M3 will allow me more tire in the rear.

                Btw, "davelength" is just a play on words, using wavelength and Dave. I figured it was a good name for my website... Adams is actually my last name

                      19 lb, I think the turbine covers weigh another 3 lb.

                          Two unusual things about those wheels.

                          1) Supposedly they are forged MAGNESIUM and not aluminum.

                          2) They have a high load rating for a light wheel, since they were designed for the very heavy E34 M5. On an E30 M3, they should prove very strong. And under hard cornering they won't flex. Some race cars deliberately choose wheels that aren't the lightest so that under the very highest cornering loads, the wheel stays straight therefore the tire enjoys benefits = cornering is better. I'm not sure how much of an effect this is, but have read about it in several articles over the years.
