I thought that color was familiar. Now, you and Jerry need to do a photoshoot together. Where did you get the rear fenders?

some of the parts have arrived
BTW, I forgot to mention that I bought crashed 98 e36 M3 for the engine and gearbox swap

Wasn't that supposed to be the wife's car when you first started the project?

ok, here is the first bunch of pics...
I picked the car up in Sept of 2006. It was junk, it didn't run, every body panel was damaged, interior was trashed, suspenshion was shot and it had a leaking topbut that was exactly what I was looking for since I knew that everything had to be re-done anyway...
after it got to Azevedo Motorsports, teh first thing we did was - get rid of that POS M20 motor
then the car was further taken appart and the engine bay was shaved and smoothed
the engine bay got painted Ferrari red

Very nice. I've been thinking of doing something similar when I finish up my M3.

for some this will be a surprise, for those who knew - this is the day - Friday, the 13th, the birth of my newly finished project that took 10 month to cpmplete :yowzah:
More details and complete history of the project in pics will follow. The car is 99% finished, just not enough time before the photo shoot for the Performance BMW magazine that will take place tomorrow.
this is how it started:
