  • Official Gulf E30 M3 colors!

I just finished talking with Chevron Texaco and their legal department sent me a letter granting me permission to use the GULF logos on the car!!!

Here are a couple final pics...

It's the least they could do for running their colors. Car looks good.

why did you have to get their legal permission ? :lostme: It's not like anyone would come after you if you didn't

Car looks great ! The color scheme suits the e30 m3 perfect

That's great. If I was ever a billionaire, I would buy the #2 Gulf Porsche 917. I painted my bath room in Gulf scheme. The existing ceramic tiles wainscott were close to the Gulf blue so I painted the orange and black stipes around the room to go with it.

              That's a sweet paint job.

Since there is no "official sponsor" for the CCA number boards now, have you considered removing them and making something to go better with the overall paint scheme?

Intellectual Property is often times aggressively protected, and with good reason. I used to have a roommate that worked at a trademark research firm, and my wife used to work in the legal dept at Reebok.

I could have slapped stickers on there for the sake of it, taking on the risk of getting a cease and desist letter in the mail. I chose to ask the rightful owner of the intellectual property for permission to use it.

They were very appreciative of my concerns.

Number boards are required, if not the SSF panels, the new BMW CCA Club racing panels. I would have liked to do just a round white circle but this I think is fine. I put the round panel on the hood.
