  • March 1st? Karting 6 hour enduro in CT

6 HOUR TEAM ENDURO ON MARCH 1st

OTK presents it's first ever 6 hour endurance race. Best of all, the race will start in the dark, run four hours in the light then finish in the dark! That's right... all the karts are equipped with headlights to run the first and final hour of the race! This is an event not to be missed. We have cool sponsors with great door prizes for the competitors!

DATE: Sunday March 1st, festivities from noon-8pm, race starts at 1pm and ends at 7

    Teams: 3-6 Drivers per team

Classes: There are 2 classes, the “PRO” group is for any team that consists of 2 or more unlimited members or league racers. The “GT1” class is for all the other participants. There will be team trophies for the top three finishers in each group.

The Race: The race will start and run the 1st hour in the “Dark”, with track lights shut off and headlights on all the karts. After the first hour, the track lights will come on and the next 4 hours will be run in the “light”. The last hour of the race will again be run in the “dark”.

Night Racing Practice: Wednesday February 18th, we will have a full hour of night practice for all teams (no extra charge)

Pit Stops: There will be a minimum of 11 pit stops per team. In addition there will be 2 five (5) minute fuel/headlight stops.

Sponsors/prizes: Prizes for the event will be “door” prizes for the competitors, meaning whether you finish first or last, you all have the same chance of winning! Kurtzman Performance Karts and Motors is sponsoring the event by providing 2 free kart rentals for either Stafford Springs (oval) or Norwalk (road racing) during the up-coming season. Meriden Hyundai is once again on board providing shirts for all the competitors and trophies for the top finishers. We have a few others that we are currently working on, so stay tuned!!

Food: All racers will receive a food ticket for a combo meal at the Grand Prix Grill

Cost: Registration begins February 1st at noon-don’t wait to register, space is limited! The cost is $850 per team if signed up before February 8th, $900 if you sign up after. We require a $100 deposit and entry must be paid in full by February 15th. Each team must elect a captain who is then responsible for payment.

    Anyone interested?

Not me... 190 ish, my average time there is 38.1 a lap. I need to find some time in the inside section. Used to driving a 2 stroke kart so having power all the time bugs me. Plus their karts have gained weight with the roll bar and harness set up vs the previous set up.
