Track day/Meetup 25JUN21 at Summit Point with BMWCCA

tossing this out to see level of interest. potential for some E30 M3 track time and a gathering.


25JUN2010 Summit Point Shenandoah Circuit
NCC BMWCCA HPDE

This will be a FRIDAY. The HPDE runs all weekend, but Fridays are usually for instructor candidates and advanced drivers only. Turnout can be lighter than on a weekend, with the limited type of drivers, and since it is a BMWCCA event, it is a pretty low risk environment to bring E30 M3's out to play. This track has no gravel traps to throw up gravel and has 20+ turns in 2.2 miles. it is a hoot in an M3.

folks could run in advanced group or, if track driving is not your thing, just come and hang out. if enough interest, i would investigate option for lunch parade laps and/or a photo op for all the cars and owners in the famous Karussel.

I have not checked with the organizers yet (although there are some NCC members/instructors on this forum). This is just to see if there is any interest this informal get together.

I love that you're getting that clean machine on track and are not afraid to push it. Shenandoah is a great DE track and perfect for our cars.

Sorry I missed this event. We had about 4-6 E30 M3's at VIR on the north course that weekend. I wasn't one of them.
