Battery vent question

Just bringing this back.

I just got an interstate battery and realized that my old batter never had the vent tube plugged in

By any chance does anyone have a picture of where it goes ?

So I went to install the vent tube kit for my Interstate battery yesterday, but didn't find any factory tube hiding under the tray as I was hoping. After checking the SIG archives, I learned that there's also a catch bottle that goes between the tubing and the floor. Apparently, the ETK shows this bottle as showing up in 9/87 and later cars. Will my 6/87 build even have a provision for the bottle? I didn't notice a location for it at the time, and didn't feel like pulling the battery out again last night to check. If not, does the vent tube just exit though a hole in the floor?
