I bet that is from lifting the carpet up to add some wiring. I have installed a stereo a few years back and never got the carpet down again as good as from factory. There is a hard layer in the carpet (i have cut my carpet to pieces when I took it out for the cage) and I believe it doesn't like to be kinked too much. place some heavy weights on the bumps as long the car is parked.

My battery also kept draining after their install. Brought it back to them to fix...and they told me i needed a new alternator.

I asked them if they hit the gas pedal after the car started when they did the alt. test....and they said that doesnt matter :rolleyes:

If someone missed the frame rails when lifting it -- two lumps from dimpled sheet metal in the same spots, on either side. may not be that noticeable from beneath

I would bet that is from someone jacking the car up in the wrong spot. I've see it happen on another E30 where exactly the same lumps formed after someone jacked the car up.

Those bumps are on my car and they got there from incorrect lifting.

i have the same thing in my car but its mainly on the passenger side. i also live in Orlando Florida
