rear windows has no opener../.?

i purchased a 1990 m3 and rear windows cannot be open or permanently close ..no manual lever to open or power switch,.
i thougth 90 and up m3 has power rear windows? pls. enligthen me up coz im confused!!!
if so, can i change the rear window w/ opener from e30- 325is?

No M3 had power rear windows.


They were popout or stationary.

'90-91 M3 rear windows are not vented like the earlier models. If you wanted to, I would think that you could retrofit the entire window and necessary sub-assembly from an older M car to change over to vented. That is a guess however, as I have never heard of anyone performing the change. I dont think a standard 3 series window is the same.

standard window is not the same. The job isn't **extremely** difficult but it's not really worth the headaches. Plus, finding a pair of good pop-out rear windows is not real easy...

Actually im pretty sure standard e30 rear quarter window is exactly the same as the m. you could go with pop out or not with proper parts.

No, nothing like that on an E30. Pop outs upto 89 and 90 -on had fixed rear quarter windows. I believe the E46 debuted with motorized rear pop outs if I'm not mistaken. I never use them but I personally like the popouts.
