Thanks boomer. Swapping the rails does sound alot easier. That would leave the seat adjustment levers on the wrong side for the drivers seat though right?

Unfortunately yes.Only the fore and aft levers would remain on
the correct side.Unless you only swap the seat bottoms.

I have removed the upper side bolsters before,not a terribly complicated job,but you'll need
a new set of hog rings,and a hog ring pliers to make the job
easier.

If I can't find a replacement driver's seat in good enough condition, I will be giving the upholstery work a try. Thanks for all the helpful info.
