just fitted my 60mm coilovers went to put my wheels back on and the rears dont fit,proper p....d off after spending a fortune getting my e46 m3 wheels powder coated satin black and new tyres, now needed some 17x8 only

they have between 40 and 50 or?

Sounds like only one solution will do; ditch the coilovers. I've been contimplating a similar solution. I have Leda coil overs and they'll get in there but not without rubbing the inside of the tiny rear towers.
What I may do is install the Leda dampers but use different springs for standard spring placement. This way I still get the adjustability from the Leda dampers without having to modify the towers. Know what I mean?

will try and find some bbs type 42s now just sold my brand new e36 328 sport rims, i must have lost the plot, problem is coilovers rear, big brakes front want to buy something now that will match the jagermeister paint job on new shell, costing me a fortune, can any one helpv8m3 e30

e36 wheels also have a wrong offest(you would need spacers)
better are wheels from the e34 or e39 series
some 18 inch from the 7er model fits as well
try to find some with a offset between 18-28
that must fit without spacers

i still have a set 8/9x17 but there was a guy asking me for them and i have promissed him that I'll keep them in reserve for 2 weeks
