IMO the stock Recaro style 'Sport Seats' that came with some E30s and E28s are one of the best. Unless you need a racing seat I would maybe redo the foam on your st John 3:17Comment

I dig the stock seats. I'm 6-2 200lbs. They are the most comfortable seats I've ever driven in I've done 10 hrs straight (aside from short fuel stops) with no problems.

Recaro Pole Positions. I have sat in a SPG XL too big for me but pretty comfy as well. I personally like the Recaro Pole Position.Comment

E30 M3 Stock seats are excellent unless you need to go to a real race seat.
From street use to DEs and occasional track days,,, I would stay with stock seats they are excellent.
If you are doing lots of track days,,,and go to 6 point harnesses, roll bar / cage get a fixed back seat.jimmy p.

I used the stock seats for a long time, but would never go back after having the Recaro SRD's. There is a lot to say for a seat with bolsters that fit you like a glove. Although they don't make the SRD's any more, a similar seat that accommodates 6 pt. belts would work fine.William Buchanan

Sparco's Evo seats are very comfortable fixed back seats. For a reclining seat, then Recaro SRDs are great too.
