Deal with him but never actually bought anything from him. He was diligent about answering questions and sending pics and seemed genuinely trustworthy though.
I will be eager to hear how it goes....I am always looking for a source for these sorts of parts.
I looked at their website, and it makes me a little nervous dealing with businesses involved in higher level (higher $$$$$$) motorsports....their prices tend to reflect. But maybe this place will be different.
The BMW Motorsport original race cars and parts are incredibly valuable and as you can imagine far fewer spare race car parts exist versus stock street car parts. This will be reflected in the much higher prices. Great example this BMW Motorsport E30 M3 DTM prototype original 1 of 3 of the very first ever DTM race cars ever produced now sold. https://youtu.be/VuL_C3U7J4Y
Ironhead I can send you his price list. Might want to make sure you're sitting when you review it. Not many alternatives for NOS stuff so what's a guy to do?
i had never even heard of him or the business, but yeah it sure seems legit.
I'd be up for an email of the price list as well if you are willing (mainly in regards to blocks, heads and cams.
If you are willing please send to

So has anyone actually done business with this guy? I inquired with him once years ago and he wanted me to sign and NDA before he shared any info with me. Seems sketchy and his pictures often times seem to be recycled internet grabs.

Just to let you know non-public knowledge requires non-disclosure agreements in my business. Why didn't you bring up this point in the telephone conversation that you say you had with me instead of running away to complain about it in a forum? You could have asked and I would have informed you. I have found my process helps filter out real business from people asking for endless free consulting information who never purchase. Can you imagine my perspective looking at customers who do not purchase but ask for free consulting, specifications and tons of research on non-street legal race car parts and part numbers? Feel free to call me if you want to clear things up especially if you are looking for non street legal BMW Motorsport race cars, parts, consulting, inspections, certifications and logistics. Office +1(602) 425-6611 No matter what your reply at-least I tried and didn't act Sketchy, lets hope you can do the same.
I emailed with him a bit, but he doesnt exchange much info and wanted a $150 consulting fee before he will discuss anything really.

Im sure the guy is a legit conduit to BMW Motorsport parts but I remember I did see a price list somewhere a few years ago and it was pro team level pricing on everything I saw.

I stalked the Scottsdale Motorsports website a bit. Their only "location" listed is a mail pick up box. I drew the opinion that it is a one man band type operation working from home on a cell phone. That isn't necessarily "bad", but it does mean he could very easily just "fold" if there was an expensive problem with their parts/services...whatever. It is a bit strange that the PO Box is in New Mexico and the business is called "Scottsdale" Motorsports.....strange to me at least. I just think that when business owners make themselves difficult to track down....there is a reason...because it takes some effort to do so.
I definitely also thought the website was very misleading considering his (apparent) actual capabilities.
