Just trying to comparison shop. My car with 48K miles on it is insured for $90K with American Collectors insurance. It is insured in the tier with the lowest allowed miles per year (2500) and has the usual limitations about not commuting to work, garaged, etc. Limits are 300/500/100K, and my collision/comp deductible is $1,000. My annual premium is now $1400. I do get a small discount through USAA which makes my annual premium around $1325, but I'm wondering if I'm better off trying another insurance company.

        Grundy

        State: VA
Value: $65k (might raise it again)
        Policy 100/300
        Deductible: $500
        Annual Premium: $385

No yearly mileage restrictions. Vehicle must be garaged while home, but is covered at out of town events in Hotel parking lots, etc. You cannot use the car to commute to and from work.

has anyone checked Hagerty recently? It seems to change daily, but I checked last week and it was staggering.
          level1 was around $168,000
          level2 was $105,000
          level3 was $79,000
          lebel 4 was $35,000

its a bit lower today, but still absurd.

I've put nearly 10k on my car in 15 months of ownership, does anyone actually insure these cars if you drive them? I drive it to work, to the grocery store, on the twisties, to LA for the hell of it... I've got Geico because they cover my other cars but I am wary of how they'd handle an issue with the M3.
Since you have multiple cars, Grundy is the answer. Since you have 3 you may want to look into Grundy VIP. No mileage limitations and agreed value.

Even for the 'collector' cars? (Type R and M3)

I'm switching to Grundy and was wondering if anyone is using Grundy for their daily drivers also? It seems they cover both collectables and daily drivers.

happy with them for collectors so far (but I havent had a claim). Not sure on their daily, but they're tied to a larger company, so I'm sure it's as good as any other major.

Very happy with Grundy for non daily drivers and race car. Super easy to work with and less expensive than the other big names.
