New Turner chip question

I searched but could not find an answer for this. I just bought a new Turner chip to replace an old and now defective Turner chip (confirmed bad chip by Specialized ECU repair, among other ecu issues). The old turner chip had the encryption board attached, but the new chip (ordered from ECS tuning) was sent to me with NO encryption board. My question is do the newer chips from turner not require this additional board anymore? And of course ECS/Turner won't be available to ask until Tuesday. Pictures of the two chips attached.

My Turner chip came just like yours without any additional board. I installed it 2 months ago and have enjoyed it since. Best of luck!
