I wouldn't be surprised if that car went into the $500k range....if rich guys who want a nice vintage racer start bidding....

It is getting harder and harder to find cars with a genuine race history....at least without paying out the ass for them...

The thread title is very misleading. Thats not Sport Evo #1. its a Gruppe A car chassis 149.
I think this is either the twin / sister car to Ron Checca's or possibly Ron's old car.
Ron may chime in, I never knew the chassis number to Ron's car.

I believe Nigel Mosely owned the sister car to Ron's for quite a while (along with the Labatts / Harvey car thats at Amspeed now).
Last I knew Ron's ex car was in the hands of another US based club racer.

Not that this is not a beautiful example of a Gruppe A car, but its not Sport Evo #1, nor is it anything overtly special outside the fact that its a Gruppe A E30M3 and has some race histrory.
I think $500K is way optimistic unless someone just doesnt know what they are buying or has cash to fling around.

@ £220K thats stronger money than I would have imagined. Nice example and really well preserved. They trade hands out in the open so rarely these past few years its really hard to know what the market is on them.
That Schnitzer car you posted from Munich Legends is a beauty.
Did they have any back story on it?
Im assuming looking at the way its decked out its a late-ish chassis.

AHHHH....MAAAAANNN....I so wanted to go to that meet.....

I was down at Munich Legends the weekend before for the Wings & Wheels just up the road in Dunsfold (old Top Gear Track).

FYI - the guy there told me they just sold a 2000km Sport Evo for 250k....!! Now that's strong money!!!
