  • Rear window trim/molding - fixed windows

    Hi there,

My car was painted for a couple of years ago,and when the previous owner fitted the rear fixed windows again, he did not get the to moldings (marked G and I on the attached photo) on the B-pillar where they meet at the top, completly together. See photos I have taken of the issue.

I have been searching around, must the window be removed to fix this molding issue, or is there a solution without removing the rear window? And how is the molding attached?

I have R&R the vertical b pillar molding (G) before, it's easy. It's bolted from the inside. Take the interior b pillar trim off and you sgoush see the 8mm nut(s) holding the outer trim. Mine had broken the mount so I replaced it. I think is a generic e30 piece. Maybe that's what's happened to yours.
