  • Bay Area California - how many independent shops left with e30 m3 expertise?

Where do you guys in the bay area take your e30 m3s to? I know there are plenty of good independents here, but it seems that the newer cars tell you what's wrong and consequently diagnostic skills are fading... So, who's left around here who's still good at working on e30s and 2002s?

My car is currently with Anthony @ Edge Motorworks in Fremont and had been seen for years by Dick @ Dynospot racing which changed to Infinite Auto in Milpitas.

I go with VT Motorworks in Pleasanton. The techs have previous experience working at Edge and other independent shops before deciding to open their own.

Thank you for your input. Is Dick Chiang still with Infinite Auto?

I think so. Took my car to Dick many years ago (back when I was in the bay area) and he was terrific.
