I raced my M3 at the Elkhart Lake Vintage Festival earlier this fall. 2.5 liters against some pretty serious cars on one of the fastest tracks in the US. The little lady held her own until . . .
Well that sucks, but at least it was the trans and not engine related.
Does it still have a 265 based trans in it?

A few more details regarding the issue with the transmission. Jim has had some time to investigate and found that the fork that connects the shifter to the rod on the back of the transmission broke and fell down on the driveshaft and broke the guibo and output flange. Nothing internal was hurt, fortunately.
I would have uploaded a picture of the broken fork but it seems I have reached my limit for uploads.
Awesome video!! Love Road America and would love to drive it someday in my E30 M3. Sorry to hear about your gearbox, but at least there's no internal damage. No idea on how to fix the storage limit for pics....
Looks like a great outing, sorry about your transmission. Good that it was the cheap parts! I thought of you today Steve, I saw your 700 at the CCA foundation exhibit. I’ll send those photos along when I get them edited.
Nice vids! You did a 2:30 with no curbs? There’s a lot more time in that car! Use curb at T7 and don’t brake, two wheels on inside.
nice work! Coming back next year?
