  • Fuel pressure at idle and wot

Hi all, I am still chasing a fuel issue and can’t find the specs for psi at idle and wot?

    Original thread was here:

Hi, wondering if anyone knows how I can test my AFM. Having issues and I suspect it may be the cause? Background: s14 rebuilt about 6 years ago to “mild” 2.5 specs, didn’t go all the way to 95mm cylinder bore. AFM was a remanufactured 2.5 from ECS. Car has ran great until recently. Just went for a drive and

I had originally suspected AFM, but put my old one back on and no change. Tested the TPS, and as HANDBLT and hardtailer thought, it was not good. I had a used spare, but unfortunately one failed continuity at idle and the other at WOT!

So, I am going to order one, but was wondering about the FPR, hence my question regarding pressure. I am getting about 42 psi at both idle and WOT, doesn’t seem right to me?

Also, when I pull the vacuum hose off the FPR, I can definitely feel vacuum, but the pressure only changes about 2 psi, does this make sense?

Just wondering if I should also order a FPR while I am at it?

    Thoughts?

As always, thanks for the help and suggestions, you guys are great!

Stock is 43psi at WOT and a bit lower under vacuum, if memory of driving around, with an FPR gauge on the windshield, held down by a wiper is correct

Thanks HANDBLT looks like mine is spot on with what yours was!

Close examintion of the FPR might have the pressure rating painted on it. It will be 3 bar with atmospheric pressure at the manifold pressure compensation nozzle.
