I was looking at doing the same thing, but I believe it requires some modification to fit. I would just stick with the stock oil cooler since it cools the car well enough.

Camptown racing uses an E28 M5's cooler... You could call them to see how they worked it.

            MAgnus,

You gotta Love Gary Bossert! He may not always be the most pleasant guy to talk to, but he does know what he knows!

Guys have been using the M5 oil cooler for YEARS folks. If you track the car in the hotter climates like Road Atlanta, Sebring etc. in august then you will probably want one. I use the stock oil cooler and have never seen temps above 245 on the worst days.
Then again I live in SUNNY Connecticut!

Upgrades are easy and the finished job looks factory installed.

If you are not track driving, then I would invest the $ in something more useful.

            Eric

I have been wanthing to do this for a while now, can some one post their oil temps after adding this cooler?

I know it's a doubble row cooler, it's supose to be about the same size, and you need new AN lines for it. Maybe you can also install it so the cooler lines are not so much in the way of the oil filter?

              Do not click
              At least it's German
