So today i had my exhaust installed. When i got home i noticed that the tip was too close to cut out in the bumper and melted part of it. Anyone have a rear bumper for sale.

My car has a standard single cat and it passes inspection here in CA. The previous owner had installed it.

The only thing is on the top end the car doesn't pull as quickly (as the stock exh.) because the single cat is more restrictive than the stock dual cat.

Of course you can always use a larger single cat to compensate for flow.

Technically, you cannot switch out the original cat unless it has stopped functioning. In practice, if you have a new cat how the hell will they know if the original one was working or not?

For a new cat, you are not bound to purchase the OEM one. As long as the new cat passes the sniffer, and a cat is there, you should be fine.
