  • Dig'n new pic's by Markus!

Ok Markus... what gives?:p Are these your's? New acquisitions? I'd love to get some play time with a set of slide throttle bodies. I wonder if part throttle positions are really that bad?

BTW, do you know what came first or why there's over or under 2nd phase injectors for the 1990 airboxes? It seems 'over' was a better design just looking at injector aim.

And one more thing if you don't mind. Can you confirm that all DTM S14 slide throttle bodies were 50mm?

    Cheers! Great pics!!

    hi Jake

These parts are not for my car
I'll sell them next time on Ebay
Slide TBs are only for race cars because they must be driven permanently over 4000 rpm to work perfect.
For streetable use they are wrong.
About the extra injectors.... i can't say why some of them comes from the top and some from the bottom but i will ask my Tuner next week for that.I think he knows that.
The maximum size from TBs and Airboxes was 49,5mm.This was in the 1991/92 season with engines over 340hp
These parts that i have are 48mm ones from 1990 for engines until 340hp.

Thanks Markus! For some reason I'd been under the impression the sliders only came in one size. Thanks for clearing that one up for me.

Here's another one for you. Where they all cast from magnesium? A long time ago one guy owning a set told me they were but I was never able to confirm.

I'm anxious to see what they sell for on Ebay!

      Take care,

        hi Jake

the sliders(the golden part inside the housing)are always magnesium.
The housing is the same as the normal TBs.
You know what i try to explain?

Ah.. thanks Markus! So it's just the slider plate that is magnesium. Hmm... I wonder what the advantage is?

          Cheers,
