I'm glad to hear the feedback too Scott. I hadn't heard of them before, but after getting some more information, I sent them an e-mail yesterday. I spoke with Dan today and have made arrangements for him to borrow my car for a few days so he can map my 2.5L Evo III spec motor.

I've heard lots of positive feedback about their MAF conversion kit. It's a reasonably priced, well put together solution that appears to be just what the E30 (and E34, E28, etc.) community has been looking for.

I've wanted something like this for my car for some time, and now it's looking like 2.5L owners will soon have an affordable, plug and play AFM replacement.

The GB price is $399 instead of $550. Well worth a try. It may not bring much power on top, but it should substancially increase midrange torque.

as long as you leave the OEM airfilter housing in place the bhp gain will be marginal. After playing around with different intakes and diameters I found where the real restriction is.

They (Miller) have been entirely unresponsive to my requests for AFR plots and a simple dyno plot of their MAF.

I can understand now having a Dyno plot I guess.... but there is no way I'm slapping one of those on an S14 without seeing AFR's.

Just my humble opinion of course. I certainly hope its a viable/well sorted product, as it is a great intermediary option between stock and a piggyback/standalone.

I think you have a good point. I am interested in their kit. But they do not have dyno print outs with neither torque/power or AFR charts. How difficult would it be for them to divulgate a few infos that demonstrate how great their system is? I read somewhere that they do not publish that kind of data because "people make fun of it". I only want to be a believer. Show me graphs.

I think they are waiting on me for the Dyno results. When they installed my system, I had her dynoed about 2 weeks before the install, out of pure luck. I spoke with Brody last week and told him I was hoping to do it real soon. Waiting for the same dyno to become available. They where looking for somebody with a stock motor w a Turner Chip and then with no mods after the miller system install on the same dyno. It's kinda a hard request to complete, especially since its my spare time. I'll let you know when I get it done.

Hi Scott. So, they want to compare a standard S14 with JC chip, and that same engine with their own system. Right? Do they want to alter the programming after comparing? Yesterday, I was about to put my name as #11 on the list for the GB, but decided not to, before I can see a chart. Not that I do not trust Miller Performance, but they perhaps could use a few hard facts to sell what seems to be a great kit. I understand they want to do things right,the first time, and cannot blame them for that.

I'm on the fence with Chris and Lee. I'd like to see a nice plot with AFR's before jumping in. I've known of more than one engine to blow running a popular chip. I went with an iigo chip b/c of the plots and evidence jefrem had on his site. I don't think it's too much to ask Miller to do the same.

I just want to clarify, I greatly appreciate the efforts/time Miller has put into this. We all know that finding "new" tuning companies to support these cars is no easy chore.

I do not mean to speak down/ill of Miller, I was simply voicing my opinion that I'm not comfortable putting one of these on a car without first seeing some AFR's. Peak HP/TQ don't really mean anything to me.

i don't even care if there aren't hp/tq numbers. i just want to see a "before" and "after" plot showing the shapes of the curves

That's correct. My engine with the JC chip then my engine again, no other mods, with the miller kit. All within 500 miles. I wanted to keep the miles down, but I ran a weekend at VIR two weeks ago. They are not going to alter the programing afterwards. They flew down to a swap meet in charlotte a couple of weeks ago, installed the MAF system, programmed my air/fluel mixture and then flew back. I know they did have to send me a seperate chip to set my rev limiter to the same as Turner/JC. My mechanic did install that last week.

Also, I know they could do the same for the white m3 in the pics. His difference is a rebuilt 2.5 top end.

To all those on the fence, I hear you. My car has always been more of a show car with 1 or 2 driver eds, so I was the same way. My mechanic, who is a former Turner Pit Mechanic, told me this was a must. He got them to fly down to Charlotte and add it to about 6 cars. So I got a 3rd party's recomendation, who I trusted, to put me over the edge.

Lastly, proud to say that if you go to the Miller website, that's my engine bay they use for the pictures, the Henna. Proud of her, 108k miles.
