  • 1988 Henna - 27k miles

1988 BMW M3 in Henna with 27k miles completely original. Original tires even. My dad just sold his 1956 300SL Gullwing Reproduction and got this as part of the deal. It hadn't run in 3 years but looked basically brand new.

We picked the car up a few days ago and it is gorgeous. Couple minor blemishes here and there on the paint which will be easy to clean up. He spent today checking over it and by this afternoon it was running again and running really well. I've honestly lusted over E30 M3's for 5 or 6 years now and this was the first time I've ever spent much time looking at one in person and even driving one. I love it.

I think the plan is to sell it once it's in perfect running order again which won't take much. Previous owner owned it since day one. The car is in good hands thankfully at PTG. Pops has offered it to me but I'd rather have one I don't feel bad about driving often.

I plan to take some nice pictures of it soon.

Tony Ostermeier's Gullwing Unlimited company, which no longer exists, built about 200 reproductions in the late 90's. Basically a 300SL with updated driveline and can be daily driven. My dad's dream car.

What's wrong with the seats? They look like they have been badly reupholstered. It could be just poor photo quality.

Is that in NoVa? Kinda looks like the DC area. Paint looks very nice.
Who knows where I'll be, changes from day to Continent.
