      Thanks Markus,

Is there a place I can source these items new or used if i wanted to build a evo2 motor cost?, if I already had the ecu & will the evo ecu work with a 215 bhp motor?

just a thought, if you are going to buy all these "EVO2" parts you may get more for your money if you select aftermarket parts.
Everything labeled "EVO" has a special price tag which isn't always justified.
i.e. insted of EVO cams buy a set of Schrick's 284/276.
Or pistons. You will get some nice aftermarket forged pistons for the money BMW is charging you for EVO2 pistons.

Your 215bhp throttle bodies (if you have them) are anyway larger than the EVO2' (46 versus 48mm)

ECU isn't a problem either. They are all the same and do only differ buy the eprom used (swappable but can sometime require a matching chip/size, no problem really)

I am sure you will find tons of information here if you use the search function.

        Search for
        Schrick cams
        engine rebuild
custom chip (the igomotive seems to be everbody choice)

Goodbye M3, you served me well.

          Thanks for the reply,

you make excellent point anything"evo" is costly in any country.:
          Cheers,
