    • Hello. Name is Nick, I have been lurking around here for a little over a year and made my first post today. I have been a BMW guy for many years now and I decided I needed to take the leap. I own a 87 325IS and an 04 M3. I love both my cars very very much. I have owned a few others including a 82 320I and a 02 325CI. My M3 is a blast and 325IS is just nice dirty fun. Taking pros and cons from both cars and making one is what leaned me towards a E30 E30. I have been gathering information from here and I believe I am now capable of owning a S14. I am very very familiar with the E30 platform from drivetrain to Electrical as well as teh the usual E30 maladies so the only thing to tackle now is the S14. I still have many question to be answered but I will search, no worries.

Lots of new members in the past month from a bunch of different locations!

Don't be shy, ask a question if you can't find the answer when searching.

        • Hello !

My name is Jean-Michel, I live in France and I'm the recent owner of a 89 M3 E30 bought last week with my father.
I've already been the owner of a 90 318is E30 that I sold during this summer in order to buy the M3.

There's some work on the car in order to really get it in good shape, some work on electrics (tachometer , OBC and reverse gear lights not working, sunroof closed state in wrong position...), idle is a little chaotic when cold and some work on estethics (leather, various covers missing,...) but it's still a good basis.

I hope this board will give me some answers and hints about things to fix on my car. (in fact I think in already found some )
          Music shakes my spirit.

          • Hello everyone.
My BMW story..It might be similar to others..
Late eighties i get my license. I get an after school job to get some $ for a car so I don't have to borrow the station wagon . I save enough money. I buy a cherry 1971 BMW 2002. drive it through high school, and college. Get a job that I commuted 50+ miles a day so I buy another car and sell the 2002. Regret it every day afterward.
My new job is at a law office and one of the partners bought a new 1991 E30 M3, but its in Texas and were in California. He looks at me and says, "I need a co pilot to ride with me to bring back my new car, you want to be him?"..........:blues:
We fly to Dallas and drive back to Cali in 3-3/4 days. The most enjoyable driving experiences Ive ever had. I fell in love.......

Life goes on more school, job, marriage, house, kid, .....and before you know it I'm 40.
Suvs, Trucks and minivans are my driving life. I got a itch for some fun...Buy a Ducati super bike, then almost die at the hands of a soccer mom in a SUV talking on her cell phone not paying attention while she made a left in front of me.
How can I get the rush that I got on 2 wheels on 4.........E30 M3...[peace]
Found this forum, contacted a member that was selling his 88 Lach. The rest is history.
I'mstill working on the car to get it up to my liking so as soon as its done look for pics.
This forum has been a great help and wealth of knowledge for me and Im proud to be a member.
