What sort of ignition system is it that he has on that thing? Don't think I have ever seen that before.

Also, he apparently went to great lengths to use braided steel hose for the fuel lines leading to the pressure regulator. I wonder why.....

"Unlike the latter day E36 and E46 M3's, the
original E30 M3ís main purpose in life was to
win races on the track, not the street. It
        got the job done."

They look like RXII's to me, but then again I'm usually wrong everytime when trying to guess someone's wheels.

If you looks closely, you can see MSD on the coil packs.
AS for the fuel hose... who knows.

It looks to have an early Euro keyless entry/alarm system. See the 2nd "sensor" in the door to the left of the key hole? Or maybe its an optical illusion on each picture.

I was going to wager BBS LM's for the rims... But I dont know

Spray paint and tire shine doesn't equate to a "restoration!"

If he is running a Motec system...it appears he's gone to a distributorless ignition setup...much better...

its an old MSD DIS box
its actually TWO boxes in sequence
Seeing as the Motec system removes the distributor, its two DIS Dual Coils.

I remember these from a few years ago... I dont know if MSD replaced the system though with something else

                      I did a little research
its basically just a coil for use with DIS systems
this was back before MSD was making their own DIS ignition control systems
MSD replaced that system with their own programmable DIS system:

                      this

but since this is using Motec for both fuel AND spark... he is using two Dual Coil MSDs

its just like an early multi coil system
now they basically just look like this:

He has a Motec and is running Alpha N. He doesn't see the same restrictions as stock S14s. Notice how large the intake tube is...
His performance may still be better with a CF airbox, but for what he has, that cone should work fine!
