  • Fairwell, M3 was shipped today :(

i took my M3 to be shipped to its new owner today
    very sad day
    washed it in the morning
and drove to the shipping location
when the guy asked for the key
there was a little hesitance from me to give it to him
but i did give it to him
and they put the shipping label on the car and he said you can be on your way now :(

here is a pic of my new car

    it's a great car
but i was still sad to see the M3 go
if i could afford it i would keep both

anyway i would like to thank all of you
if it wasn't for this forum, My M3 would be in much worse condition
i did so many things i never knew i could do
    rebuilt calipers
    adjusted throttle bodies
    changed engine senors
changed differential fluid (wish i hadn't, that stuff stinks!)
    learnt so much about cars
and got to enjoy my dream car for around a year
i will still visit this forum
and will be looking at the cars for sale section when i get more money
so see you all again very soon
    enjoy your cars !

Indeed a sad day. But at least you say from yourself that have owned one!

Goodbye M3, you served me well.

the thing i love about having owned an M3 E30
      is its a conversation ender
      let me explain
when you are talking to someone and discussing something related to cars
      say brakes or handling
and the minute you drop the "hey i know XXXXX i used to own an E30 M3"
it kind of shuts them up
      it has respect
unlike the STI/EVO crowd where people would differ on their merits
its hard to find someone who doesn't have respect/admiration for the M3.

Sad to hear you parted ways, but it's only temporary. But on a lighter note... Enjoy the A5 it's a very nice car & welcome the the VW family vwvortex.com which links you to audiworld.com... I sold my last Audi and I'm anxiously waiting for another upcoming Audi... (Former Audi Brand Specialist):rastajake:

the buyer owns a BMW shop
so i know the car will live a pampered life
and won't be needing a heart transplant (swap)
i was actually asking if the buyer was going to do any mods to the car
            before i accepted
and did turn down one buyer who wanted swap
will keep you guys updated on what happens to the car
the new owner said today in an email
"I plan on doing a DTM replica car based on the Jagermeister car. ( don’t worry, they are just decals I would not do anything permanent to degrade this car in anyway)"

i think this is what it would look like

When this happens it usually takes roughly three months before you start looking for another one. See you again soon
