Hi im new. Im looking at buy a very scruffy E30 M3 i know of to turn into a Rally car and was wondering if anyone knows how much roughly it would be worth. Spec as follows:
Ok its a 1988 2.3L 200hp model. has done roughly 100k but has had the motor changed and im told by the owner that the current engine has roughly 60k on it but has no proof. it sounds ok though no odd noises or smoke and it goes well. the car has not had an easy life. It started out as a pace car for one of the race tracks in the UK then after that god knows what else untill it came to here in Jersey (channel islands) where the owner worked at a quarry and used it alot round there drifting it etc in the gravel. it has a fair amount of rust some of which has been badly repaired. its has a hole in the bulk head above the pedals. badly repaired holes in the foot wells. badly repaired holes in the rear inner arches (im talking plates litterally taked on over the rust then under sealed) outer rear arches are pretty rusty the passenger side one has pretty much no lip for about 6 inches of it. plus many other scabs all over the car. the paint work as you would imagine is pretty scratched although amaizingly its pretty straight and dent free. interior etc i dont care about. it could do with a complete over haul of bushes, bearings, brakes, hoses etc. all of which i would be replacing anyway but all effects how much the car is worth.
Good points: well there arent many but its has a set (including the spare) of 17x8 compomotive motorsport alloys on it in good condition with fairly new kumho road rubber. stainless exhaust of some sort, a chip, air filter. bilstein shocks and eibach springs. all of wich look like they have been on the car a good few years but im sure perfectly useable. its pretty unloved and not in great shape.
So does anyone have a rough idea of how much i might be looking to pay for a car like this. cause i dont wont to be paying over the odds for it.
