Rack & Pinion question

Hello All,
If you were going to buy a R&P and you wanted the one that had the quickest
ratio, which one of the other BMW models would be a direct fit (U-joint aside)
I was told the Z3 M roadster had the quickest ratio, but I need to confirm, what
say thee..

95 M3 (US - 3.0 S50)
3.0 turns lock to lock

Z3 2.9 turns

Thanks Anders, I thought there was one that was less than 3.0

The only thing with the Z3 rack is that it doesn't offer as much steering angle as the M3 unit (which means a larger turning radius).
