  • $100,000 and an E30. Whatcha gonna do?

    You get $100,000!
you have an E30 Chassis (regular or M-chassis, you decide)... no engine, no transmission, no interior.
You don't have to spend all $100,000. You can ONLY spend the money on this car. (IE, no "sell it and buy something for $100k" answers)
    READY!!! GO!

            That's easy.

            Your typical DTM cage
            DTM suspension
            DTM panels
            An engine dyno
            S14 of my design!

I hate to say it but I haven't driven all of them. On the list only LRP, Glen, and Mid O. I have over 15 days at both Glen and LRP. Only 2hrs straight at Mid-O. I don't really have a favorite. I like different things about different tracks. The Glen, I love the garages and how smooth the track is. LRP, I began attending events there in 87 as a 9 yr old spectator and its the track where I first "got" driving. Breakfast is good there as well and the people in the concession know me by face and the flaggers know my car. It feels like home. I just wish that there was more pavement in the paddock. I hope they fix the stairs to the media center. At a SCCA regional some large (~300lb) dude was jumping on the landing and broke the stairs off the building. Mid-O. I spent 2 weeks there through work and did a 2hr session in a car that wasn't mine. I want to get back there with my car. The elevation changes on the back of the track are awesome and I'm sure that many have had "moments" there and just a few less have written some things off there as well.
I guess I have to vote LRP as my fave. Its just home and I get a warm fuzzy when I cross that bridge to the infield every time.

                            I'd dump the E30 and get a 964 RS.

With the money left over I'd make my M3 pristine...for track abuse.

I'd dump the 964RS, it's too slow, I would build something like this:
