    What is that vented thing where the change tray is? I've seen it on a few cars..

      I just saw one of those a few weeks ago for the first time. It was an after market A/C conversion. Ugly as sin...

          That Sony CD-Player doesn't look too obtrusive in that M3. I have one of those models lying around, maybe I should put it in the M3. What do you guys think??

            I had one in my last E30.
            When switched off so all you see is the black panel like in the picture, it looks fine.

            Turn it on and the matrix display, multi-colors, the blue/silver of the inner display was just to flashy IMHO.

                  Jake, are you sure? Seems odd that thay would have to add a device in the cockpit to fit A/C. What part of the system is it?

                        So do I! Markus, can you share where you got it? I've been trying to find a shifter setup that will bring the knob closer to the wheel like that but haven't had any luck. The popular trend here in the US is to have the shifter as short as possible but having the knob closer to the wheel can actually be faster. You dont have to move your hand as far from the wheel on shifts.

                          yeah that is a realy odd part, on the rhd car you can see wires behind it too. anyone have the p/n for that ash tray?
