Dead pedals are such a rip off!

    Dead pedals are such a rip off!

    So I'm in the market for a dead pedal only for one reason.I have a small tear in the floor carpet from pushing in the clutch. A DP would cover it nicely.
    What I'm getting at is, if I bought one and added it,I think it would be the final touch to my cars interior.A DP would cover the tear and make my interior perfect. BUT I am shocked to see the prices that DP's go for. What a rip off for these things!
    Why are they so much? No company has slammed them out and made them affordable?
    Honestly, I think my friend can make me one in his muffler shop for about $20.00 and a burger.
    Is there a source for DP's that I have not located yet with fair prices? And yes I checked ebay and they are hitting some pretty high bids for the ones that are listed.

      Hi Archie

      $75 - Aluminum or stainless steel - Hartge style


      $85 - Stainless only - M-Technic - requires trimming of the plastic speaker panel (like for the OEM unit)





      $75 - Aluminum . For e30 racecar with regular wheel well, but no carpet


      $75 - Aluminum only (stainless model pictured). Plain or black anodized. For e30 racecars with hammered wheel well (for clearing wide wheels). Similar to above but with two curved tabs.

              This one is for cars with carpet? Kinda not getting how it would fit.

                          +1 If my car came with one stock I'd be for that, but just to add "bling" that's not for me. I can see practically for a race car, but not for a street car. It's kinda like adding stainless pedals, etc. I'll put my money elsewhere.
