  • Closer to getting a complete brake cooling solution

After some time of getting the logistics worked out, I am getting closer to providing a
complete brake cooling solution. I currently provide the brake ducts, the 3" adapters,
and soon will be providing the brake backing plates.

I was able to get the help from a forum member and he was able to forward me to one
of his machinist contacts. He was able to put everything into CAD and able to mill
the backing plates from a solid block of aluminum. The beauty of this is that everything
is one piece, and provides some weight savings compared from it's steel counterparts.

So, here are some pics of what the item will look like. Let me know what everyone thinks.

    Will,

Real hot and light weight. It was nice holding them on Saturday!!! I want a set! Did you get my voice mail about my idea on the backing plates.

Hugo, I did get the voicemail. I will look into at as it is only a minor adjustment in the
        programming.

The pricing should be reasonable. I will be initially getting a small batch made up to
see if there is any demand on them.

Thanks Will, looks very cool. Still convincing the wife to release the finances for the SE wing. You are killing me...

I believe someone else on the forum is already doing them in carbon.

Nice work. I would be interested in this solution when it is finished.

Sorry guys for the lack of updates. I've been busy and will be starting a new job
soon, so things have been hectic. I will talk to the fabricator and see when we can
                        get the ball rolling.

Sorry about no updates recently. I had test fitted the backing plate and the
machinist had added 2mm extra and was hitting the rotor. Not sure as to why he
added the extra material, but it will be worked out soon.
