I'm originally from PA and have been on the POCONO north, south and east courses multiple times. They all vary from sucky to suckier! How about Laguna Seca!? Now there is an awesome track! And the weather can't be beat. People are friendly... And you have beaches filled with cute blond women...[peace] Maybe you guys can organize a massive e30 m3 convoy from the east coast to the west coast. I see a potential awesome road trip! Why settle for a 1 day event when you can enjoy it over a week or two

What can I say? get the right line and you can run flat out 'round the turn if you want to. 'Nuff said! Pretty borning track of the three choices though>

Sticking it way up in the NE corner of the US won't help attendance, I guarantee you.

Actually, I think you will find that the NE area of the USA contains the highest concentration of M3s by far. With it being in Pocono, this will work for Ohio and other Midwest areas a little better.

note that I am not involved in organizing, just making a general observation based on sigfest attendance over the years on east and west coasts.
Besides, the organizers live in this area. Tough enough to do this type of event, much less far from home.

John, thank you for the support.

The Northeast does actually has one of the highest concentrations of E30 M3. The
issue with setting something up in central US makes things a lot more difficult. We
can only offer what we know and see. For us to fly out to central US to scout
locations is totally out of the question.

All we can say is that those who do make it will not be disappointed.

For years the 2002 crowd has talked about a grand gathering in Mid-America, especially back in 2002. As it turned out 02-02-02 was the date for gatherings all across the USA, and elsewhere. But, obviously going to Spartanburg for 02-02-02 was "the best"....and it was a grand event. BMW really knows how to throw a party for sure!

I think as great as it would be for some sort of central gathering location "geographically speaking" for the 25th Anniversary of the E30 M3 it really is not very logical from a planning and attendance standpoint. Let's face it, the USA is a big country...over 3,000 miles coast to coast, and even a long haul from the northern and southern extremities.

I think we should just support the venue wherever it is, and go from there. If someone wants to throw a gathering on the left coast, I think that would be great as well. Go for it! The likely fact of the matter is most cars are located on either coast anyway...not in the central US.

John, thank you for putting things into perspective. Of course we would have loved to gotten all the
E30 M3s at one venue, but due to the vast size of the US, it just isn't possible. I would think that is why
there is a SIGFest East and West. Let's be honest, it's already tough to get those in the Tri-State area
together for a meet/show, it would be even tougher for those people to drive half way across the US.

Like John had mentioned, perhaps someone on the West Coast can set something up. Perhaps on the
same day with a live web feed. Cflosest thing to getting everyone together.
