Considering it was a really misty and foggy day, photos came out great Joe! Pocono is an impressive facility. Dan seems to be very accomodating and after visiting with him, I would have no problem with Pocono. They do offer the whole package including indoor parking for all of the cars incase the weather does not cooperate. We will compare what everyone has to offer keeping the big picture in mind and simply selecting the "best" for this 25th anniversary.
Pocono North would be a good course for this type of event. For the driving portion, it is fairly small and not hard to learn. Is a great course for the first time driver.
This sounds like it will be a great time, count me in. If I can help, let me know.
Cheers,
John
Hysterical! Within two weeks we will be providing the location and further instructions for signing up and so forth.
this has alot of people motivated, one cars getting another s54 swap, one is already in the body shop (new carpet, hood ,fenders, seats, wheels, mines going into the body shop next, as much as i like NJMP, pocono looks good, is this venue solely gonna b for us, or is it gonna b shared with another event (nasa, scca, bmwcca) not that it really matters, the north course will get u up to speed,

Well, these are things that we are comparing and putting alot of thought into. NJMP will be more of a shared atmosphere, and we get the track for half of the day and it is a bit more expensive. Pocono will be more exclusive and we get the track for the whole day for a better price. The difference here is the insurance. Do we go through a club to get use of the track or can we have our own coverage for the day and the track as well. This is what we are looking into as we speak. Either way we are working on it and we'll let everyone know. We are meeting with NJMP this Friday at 9:00am.

Pocono is well suited for this. All paved, garages if it rains, good infrastructure, good local support (hotels, bars and restaurants).
I'd prefer the East course over the North. The North is kind of boring and doesn't offer the easy viewing of cars on track that the East does for spectators... Plus the East is practically made for E30M3s, but hey any track is better than no track.
If you guys come in the fall,,, the Poconos are spectacular.
You see stuff like this all over

Guys, just want to reiterate that this is not just for track. We are catering towards
both track and show-and-shine guys. Pocono is definitely an impressive facility and
the villas are really nice for everyone to stay together, and relatively cheap. Dan
was very helpful with our visit, and this being our first visit of the track, this is a
good benchmark for the others to be judged by. The guys will be visiting NJMP
shortly and we'll have more material to go by. Keep checking in guys!!!
