Hey guys, just want to spread the good news. There are rumors in the Tamiya community that the 1:10 Tamiya Schnitzer will be re-released soon!

    From tamiyaclub.com...

I heared from a good source about it, its still not 100% official but chances look very good.
Model number is 58323 (the questioned gap of the Nuernberg fair ), chassis is TT01, lets see if anyone can guess it, will post the solution later tonight or early tommorow.

    ...

Now, which lexan body has a maximum desirability and is a re-release like I wrote? If we want to use an objective measure, we have to use Ebay prices and if I remember well only the 959 and M3 body fetch over $200. 959 has high production costs, due to the unique 3 piece blow modling and wouldn't be good for the newbie racer, as it "cracks already on the shelf" , which leaves the IMHO very beautiful M3 body.

Tight.. just went and read the entire thread

I'll have to get one... as a reward for not bowing into the pressure of buying any minichamp models! Let's hope the rumor is true.

I think I would buy multiples... at least one to drive with, two for static displays, and a couple for "just in case".

I have been wanting this thing for SO LONG! But the $500 price keeps me away!

If they do re-release it, I'm all over it! I might just get like 10, so when they are LONG gone, I'll still have some nice ones!!

            Do not click
            At least it's German

arent' production bodies only like $40? I would pick up 2 or 3 for that price, my nakid team associated body would look killer with one of those

I spoke with Borgfeldt this morning; here is the scoop.

                              • They will not sell wholesale to anyone without a retail shop as Tamiya requires this.
                              • They are going to try to set me up with the largest retailer in Canada for group buy.
                              • The model is announced but not yet in production.
                              • Delivery will be in the end of May.
                              • Retailers have already started to place their orders, so if we want to do a group buy, now is the time to get our order in.
                              • Tamiya will only be selling the kit as a whole and not just the body; with re-release items they do things this way.

                              So far, that's the skinny.
