  • all dummy lights coming on when started

when I start my m3 all of the dummy lights come on. the person I purchased the car from told me they kept the car in very good running order and was garaged most of its life. I am not sure if I should spend the time looking into the abs, check oil etc etc. wondering if this has ever happend to anyone else and if so is it somekind of short that is common in these cars.

    thanks

This is normal. Just blip the throttle and they will go out.

That might be a problem.Usually they shut off after you give it a little gas. I guess the alternator isn't spinning fast enough, but you probably have another problem. If all of them are coming on you would think it would be in the main circiut board maybe and not all of the individual sensor's.

Check out the alt. Make sure the belt is tight before you go spending a bunch of $$. When all the lights come on at the same time it's usually a charging issue.
