  • E2/E3 brake ducts back in production

I was just browsing through the BMW Classic reproduction catalog and noticed that the brake ducts 51 71 2 238 247 (air channel left) 51 71 2 238 248 (air channel right) and 51 71 2 230 660 (air channel) are back in production as of July 2011. For those who want to keep their cars original, you are now in luck.

That's a good sign. Someone was mentioning this before. Hopefully Mobile Tradition will
pick up more parts and eventually have full support like they do with the 2002s.

I have spoken to someone at BMW Classic (formerly known as Mobile Tradition) and he did tell me that the E30 M3 will have full BMW Classic support. It will take time and demand before parts go back into production.

Is there a digital catalog online somewhere or is this something only available to dealers? I'd love to take a look through it.

          Online versions

Welcome to RealOEM.com! This site can be used to look up BMW part numbers and approximate part prices.

gets you the part nbr and if it's currently (almost accurate) available or NLA. You can get ETK on cd\dvd and install it on a laptop. The other info is here

How do we order the channels and ducts? I contacted my dealership and these are still unavailable. How can I get my hands on a complete set?

                    Thanks,
                    mike

Readily available in the UK - already had 2 ducts but only 1 channel. Ordered 1 channel and turned up a few days later without any issues.

In the US, the dealer needs to also check BMW AG (the Fatherland) system. My dealer checks the US first & than BMW AG. So his response is none in the US, but XX are in Germany.

Even so, I don't think your dealer can sell them to you unless they are a BMW MS dealer (US ONLY). Please review the other post about EIII spoilers not being sold in the US. My dealer can see them in BMW AG inventory, he can't sell them to me.

It's just going to increase the Grey Market, nothing more.
