Keyless Entry/Alarm Question

I was doing some work (rear suspension refresh) on the car and had the battery disconnected for a few weeks. Finished up and now the factory alarm/keyless entry doesn't work.

I'm guessing that I need to reprogram the remotes since the system was working fine before the work and I didn't touch anything on the electrical system.

Anyone have ideas on how to reprogram the key fobs or get it working again?

Hmm I'd contact Luke(Stereoinstaller1) on R3v. Guy is a wealth of knowledge on e30 wiring and alarms

I had a similar problem with an aftermarket keyless entry system. I even went so far as to replace the relay with no luck. Then one day while I was trying to adjust the rubber boot in the door jam of the driver door, the locks activated. I think theres a short in the connection in there somewhere.

Might be worth giving it a wiggle...

Figured it out. Seems the battery in the fob was able to light up the LED, but not generate a signal to the control unit. New battery in the fob fixed it...
